RAC Ashford Ltd. is looking for:
A Hook-up Engineer
Scope of work:
Experienced Senior Hook-Up Engineer (10-Years minimum experience) from Now to next year to support our Installation Engineering team in Suresnes.
There is also a possibility to go offshore at the end of the installation engineering phase.
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Within the framework of our Projects in the AMEC Region, we are looking for an experienced Hook-up Senior Engineer to join our Installation Engineering Department within the AMEC Engineering.
During the project or tender, and during the engineering phase, be the support point for Hook-up activities with other disciplines / departments and be responsible for the delivery of engineering documents related to Hook-up activities. His / her function during offshore activities will depend of skills and certifications.
Responsible of the timely delivery of all technical documents for projects, tenders and internal developments associated to the Hook-up Engineering scope.
Approve Technical documentation from suppliers and/or sub-contractors for the scope he/she is allocated to.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
General:
• Promote safety behavior and safety in design.
• Promote team Spirit within the project team.
• Contribute to project Engineering reviews on all subjects associated to (or at the interface with), the Hook-up scope.
Within the scope he/she is allocated to:
• Deliver project specific Hook-up engineering documents (such as Execution plan, Work pack / Job card, Standard Operating Procedure, Progress procedure, Lift plan,…).
• Develop/participate Hook-up schedule and sequence.
• Deliver project specific technical scope of work for Hook-Up services (3rd party) scaffolding, painting, torqueing, NDT, …
• Prepare and follow-up of Master Document Register and Subcontractor Document Register within project.
• Responsible for Technical Bid Evaluation and follow-up of sub-contractors.
• Deliver/Review requisitions for the Hook-up consumable, tools, installation aids required for the execution of the scope of work.
• Participate and coordinate daily progress meeting offshore, as required.
• Assist for the preparation and follow-up project changes (red-line process).
• Prepare/follow up material tracking file from PO to site.
• Attend to project and discipline meeting.
Engineering Expertise:
Within the scope he/she is allocated to:
• Have the knowledge of Hook-up Work breakdown structure for multi discipline topsides scope.
• Be responsible for estimating tasks and sequencing the works.
• Participate to constructability review.
• Participate to tendering activities.
Engineering Quality:
Within the scope he/she is allocated to:
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with the latest HSEQ and engineering Group procedures.
• Contribute to Project Engineering /Constructability review.
• Attend and participate to risk assessment.
• Ensure that technical documents are properly reviewed, checked according to the project quality control plan.
ORGANISATION STRUCTURE:
• The Client – AMEC, Installation Engineering Department.
AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS:
• Operate within the Business Code of Conduct.
• Operate according to The Client's Management Principles.
• Support standards and procedures for the Engineering Function.
Functional:
• Within the scope he/she is allocated to:
• Validate documents produced under his / her responsibility.
• Act as a mentor for a Junior or Project Engineer as requested.
Commercial / Contractual:
• Assist supply chain for the evaluation of Hook-up subcontractor (3rd party), Hook-up tooling supplier and preparation of the Subcontract.
• Assist supply chain for the evaluation of offers.
• Assist supply management for all items relevant to the subcontract follow up.
• Highlight changes and potential variation order to Hook-up Lead.
INTERFACES:
External interfaces mainly with:
• Client
• Subcontractors
• Suppliers
• Third party and Certifying Authorities
Internal interfaces mainly with
• Other disciplines within engineering function.
• Other functions within Operations, SCM, Tendering, HSEQ…function.
Knowledge and Skills:
Technical skill in in most of the below:
• Hook-up scope of work.
• Job Card preparation.
• Knowledge in topsides Engineering documentation.
• Knowledge in piping, structural fabrication, welding,
• Knowledge in offshore Hook-up construction.
• Knowledge in pre-commissioning activities.
• Significant experience in above scope.
• Significant experience in interface management and process.
• Personnel Management.
• Site / offshore scope management.
Behavior:

• Active and responsive but remaining rigorous.
• Willingness for Onshore / Offshore mission.
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years in Hook-up preparation and execution.
WORK LOCATION & PROJECT
Office work / Work from Home:
• 3 months for Jacket completion - Scope of work.
Jacket Completion Engineering scope of work
Report to Project Installation Principal Engineer
• 4 months for Topsides Deck completion - Scope of work.
• Deck Hook-up Engineering Scope of work
Report to Project Installation Principal Engineer
• 5 months for 2x2000tons Topsides Deck Hook-up incl. bridge, flare boom tie-ins. Hook-up Engineering
Report to Hook-up Lead Engineer
Site mobilization on rotational basis – Africa
• ·Fabrication yard for material tracking, bag & tag, punch list and completion of topsides decks. Report to Hook-up Lead Engineer
• ·Offshore mobilization to execute Hook-up Report to Hook-up Lead Engineer
