RAC Ashford Ltd. is looking for:
A Lead Process Engineer - PLM

Scope of work:

We are looking for a Lead Process Engineer with knowledge / awareness of Requirements Management, Engineering BOM and Procurement BOM to be part of our “PLM Phase 2” Project within the digitalisation group. Requirements management and x-BOM have been developed for some time in the automotive and aerospace industries (amongst others). It is now coming to the Oil & Gas and Renewables industry in particular through our clients. As part of the PLM (Product/Project Life Management) initiative, the Client is investigating how to implement it using Polarion and Teamcenter tools from Siemens.

Your main responsibilities will be:
• Review and update the proposed process for The Client.
• Implement this process on real-life examples (existing projects, specifications from clients…)
• Implement digital Basis of Design and System Description (aka Engineering BOM)
• Define the structure to host client requirements
• Define the various BOM view expected by the Engineering team and enable connection to CAD/CAE tools
• Perform tests of the software configuration
• Try various levels of detail and make a recommendation for the Client
• Liaise with the software editor and the Client technical team to improve the configuration
• Liaise with internal Client users to validate assumptions and define the most effective ways of working
• The role would also be involved in other areas of the overall PLM Phase 2 PLM implementation plan to support implementation of the other key PLM functionalities

Profile required:

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills, experience and behaviours in the following areas:
• Graduated with an Engineering degree associated with Mechanical, Civil, Offshore or Marine disciplines,
• Past Engineering experience
• Past experience on Requirements Management, x-BOM and interaction between PLM system and CAD/CAE tool are a plus
• Good communicator – Must be able to lead meetings and interface with multiple stakeholders
• Relevant work experience with the energy sector,
• Competent in Microsoft Office,
• Previous use of Polarion, Teamcenter and/or other similar tools would be a plus
• Fluent in written and spoken English
Location:
Suresnes (Near Paris)
• Majority of the work is carried out in the home office site.
• Requirement for some international travel

Starting date:
ASAP

Duration:
6 months (extendable)
Starting as a 6 months mission/secondment in the PLM Phase 2 project team
Based on the phase 2 value case, the position may evolve towards a permanent role within the PLM team to support the overall PLM roll out strategy to the company with a specific focus on Requirements management implementation.
